CAMPING AREAS:

EAGLE CREEK - Ski Run Road

BONITO LAKE - Off Hwy. 37. N of Alto

CEDAR CREEK - Off Mechem, near the Smokey Bear Ranger Station, 575-257-4095

LINCOLN NATIONAL FOREST - check with Smokey Bear Ranger Station for camp sites

PICNIC AREAS:

SCHOOL HOUSE PARK - near the Ruidoso public pool on Sudderth Drive.

TWO RIVERS PARK - off Sudderth, near the Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce.

CEDAR CREEK - off Mechem at Forest Service Office.

KIDS KONNECTION - Behind Schools on Hull Rd. & White Mtn. Drive

MONJEAU LOOKOUT - Take a picnic lunch and a camera to see this panoramic view of our mountains. Monjeau Lookout was built in the late 1930s by the CCC. The solid rock structure is now used by the Forest Service as a lookout. At 10,356’, the view is spectacular! Take ski run road about 1 mile to the Monjeau turn off. (Forest Rt. 117)
