We thank you for your investment in the Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce, one of the largest chambers of commerce in Southeastern New Mexico. Some of these committees include: Member Services; Financial Oversight; Art Festival; and Economic Development.

Below is a brief description of the Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce’s purpose, vision and mission statements as well as the member values.

VISION STATEMENT – To enhance the quality of life for the greater Ruidoso and Ruidoso Downs area through economic prosperity, greater community involvement, and the development of public-private partnerships.

MISSION STATEMENT – To foster the development, growth, and prosperity of the business community in Ruidoso, Ruidoso Downs, and the surrounding area.

PURPOSE – As a non-profit 501c(6) organization, the Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce officially represents Ruidoso and Ruidoso Downs, as well as being dedicated to the advancement and betterment of all of Lincoln County. Since its inception, the Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce has pledged its energies to the entrepreneurial spirit of the individual as well as, the mutual support and unity of the business community. This pledge is exemplified by our motto “Excellence through Service”. While “excellence” is the standard by which communities are judged, “service” is the vision by which excellence is achieved.

VALUES – The Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce embodies values in all areas: membership, board of directors and chamber staff. This organization’s values are as follows:

Our members agree to the following Standards of Business Practice:

1. Provide the customer with a truthful representation of their product or service.

2. Provide the customer with clear and concise information regarding all cancellation and return policies.

3. Provide a clean, safe business environment as prescribed by current code enforcement.

4. Secure proper permitting and licensing as required by law.

5. Be current with all federal, state, and local tax assessments.

6. Conduct themselves in a manner that reflects favorably on the community.
